Happy New Year!

added to the website on Dec 31, 2013

The Museum of British Surfing sends its best wishes for a very Happy New Year to all of its visitors & volunteers! Together you have helped make it a roaring success as we head into 2014, our third ‘season’, thank you.

With 12,000 visitors through the doors since we opened in 2012, 6,500 following us on Facebook and 2,500 on Twitter we’re feeling the love!

Our exhibition ‘Sixties SURFER!’ has been a big hit in 2013 and continues through until January 5th, please click here for opening times.

We then close to refit the museum for our new exhibition ‘The First Wave – surfers & their stories‘ which opens on March 22nd 2014 and runs through until January 4th 2015. This display tells the history of British surfing through the people that were there, with interviews with more than 100 surfers across the UK and dating back to those who surfed in the 1920s!

We will of course be having a number of film & music nights through the winter, so please keep an eye on our website, Facebook and Twitter pages for information.

Happy New Year, from Peter Robinson, founder Museum of British Surfing.
