Plank ash bodyboards charity fundraiser

Surf museum vintage style bellyboards now in stock

added to the website on May 03, 2014

Come and get Planked at the Museum of British Surfing! We now have in stock an exclusive range of Plank bellyboards featuring our unique ‘icon’ logo.

They are modelled on the original vintage bellyboards of the 1920s & ’30s. Handmade in North Devon from locally grown olive ash which is dried in solar powered kilns, these solid wood paipo or bodyboards also feature organic paint. They are four feet long and approximately 11 1/2″ wide and 3/8″ thick (sizes vary slightly with the timber chosen).

Every piece of wood used is selected by hand for its beautiful figurative grain. The team at Plank have very generously agreed to support the Museum of British Surfing and proceeds from each sale go to our registered charity to help us continue our work – thanks to Plank! You can find them on Facebook & on Twitter @planksurfboards

They are available only at the Museum of British Surfing’s shop in Braunton priced £95 each.

Planks also make a wonderful range of bespoke solid wooden serving platters and chopping boards – contact them direct for details, or ask when you visit the surfing museum!
