What’s on this May Bank Holiday

added to the website on Apr 01, 2015

If you’re in North Devon this May bank holiday weekend, make sure you drop-in on the Museum of British Surfing in Braunton to soak up 125 years of UK surf culture!

With the surf forecast looking flat Friday & Saturday, then south-westerly onshores for Sunday and Monday we have the perfect place for you to hang-out, with lots to do for all the family. There’s a new room open now so there’s more to see, and the main exhibition is celebrating 125 years since the earliest recorded surfing in Britain way back in 1890!

For the kids and young at heart there’s the ever popular spotter’s trail, and we have wonderful surf museum colouring sheets designed specially by Kludoman. You can grab a raffle ticket with a £300 first prize (and more than 100 prizes!), pick up a special souvenir from our gift shop, or you can take part in our pinball challenge with the chance of winning a prize if you get the highest score for May on our original 1976 surfing pinball machine!

We’re currently open 10am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday (closed Sundays).
