The Museum of British Surfing needs your help – would you like to be one of our key supporters?
We’re looking for founding partners to help with the start-up and future running of our innovative new museum, whether it is a donation of money, offer of work or old surfing kit – it all helps.
Big business, small firm, charity or non profit organisation, educational institution or individual – you can all play a part in creating this very special attraction.
Many people have already stepped forward to help, and have either made donations or offered their services free of charge.
We are in contact with universities, colleges and schools wanting to develop mutual partnerships to create an exciting and fun learning environment, adding surfing to their curriculum.
To all of our supporters – thanks to every single one of you for your help so far.
Please read the Call To Sponsors document below to find out more about how you could become a Sponsor of the Museum, and the great opportunities it would offer both our organisations.
This museum relies on your donations, you can give using the button below. We are registered with the Charities Aid Foundation to make online giving easier for you and us. If you’re a UK tax payer your donation can be eligible for Gift Aid which means the Government gives us an extra 28% on top.
If you prefer to donate by cash or cheque please contact us direct for details.
We also welcome donations of old surfing kit and related items to add to our collection, or pass on to our charity partners in surfing if it’s not suitable for us to use – please email us to make a gift of your old surf gear.
If you or a member of your family is a keen surfer, or perhaps your family has a long surfing history, please consider setting up a legacy to help our Registered Charity continue its work and leave a gift for future generations to enjoy.
Please email us for details of how to donate or create a legacy.
We have launched season tickets for regular visitors. As well as unlimited visits during the year, you get 10% off events. These are just £12 for adults and £10 for concessions.
If you donated to our original Building Block fund we will be adding your details to our website soon – thanks very much for your support, it enabled us to secure the lease on our building and complete the design & build work.
Fundraising, events and grant applications, history research & documentation, surfboard restorations and formally documenting our massive collection are just some of the areas where we need your assistance.
We may also be looking for help in refurbishing a building, so if you’ve got the skills and would like to help us create something really special in North Devon then please get in touch.
We’ll be launching a formal volunteering programme soon, but for now to contact us please go to our contact page.
