Corporate Sponsorship

Please read the exhibition partner document below to find out more about how you could become a Sponsor of the Museum, and the great opportunities it would offer both our organisations – our surf heritage displays change every year, so there are always new ways to get involved & support this great new surfing charity.

We are a fully accredited and award-winning Museum and the national registered charity preserving Britain’s rich surfing heritage and culture, celebrating current achievements and helping to shape the future of surfing in the UK.

The Museum of British Surfing is the first and only dedicated surfing museum in Europe. We create a new exhibition every year and are looking for commercial partners who will fit well with our next theme and benefit from our expanding media profile.

Our media coverage has been extensive and worldwide, from BBC and Channel 4 national TV news and as guests on the ‘One Show’, to NBC in America and radio appearances in Australia and beyond.

Print coverage included making the front page of The Guardian for our launch, and most other national newspapers tapping into our PR campaign including big splashes in The Times, The Daily Mirror, Daily Mail, The Sun and The Daily Telegraph. More recently articles have appeared in Carve, Wavelength, Real Surfing Magazine, and Coast.

Broadcast media: The One Show (BBC1); NBC; The Antiques Road Trip (BBC2); Channel 4 News; BBC News; ITV News; Sky News; Newsround (BBC1); Today (BBC Radio 4); The Endless Winter (feature film, Channel 4 & cinemas)

Through regular publications and marketing campaigns on our social media platforms and events at the museum, we expect to continue to increase visitor numbers at the museum year on year.

There will be also be opportunities for our partners to host events. The outdoor space in front of the museum is available to showcase your brand. This area opens out onto the main village car park and Braunton is the hub to the four celebrated surfing beaches in North Devon and among the most popular in the UK.

At least half a million people now surf in the UK and interest in the activity is firmly in the mainstream. Iconic Brands are seen regularly making a valuable association with surfing.
It has been estimated that Surfing is worth more than £100 million to the South West economy alone.

60 years after Britain’s first surf shop opened its doors, our museum exhibitions tap into the source of this new wave of surfers, and the enduring footsteps they left in the sand for us all to follow.
