1969 - ‘British Surfer’, edited by Rodney Sumpter and Simone Renvoize is published

Surf publishing started with small, locally produced newsletters and newspapers like ‘Surfing UK” published in Wales. Britain got its first ‘glossy’ surf magazine in the Spring of 1969 ‘British Surfer, edited by Rodney Sumpter and Simone Renvoize, sadly only lasted six issues.
