Fringe Is Coming to North Devon

North Devon’s surf community is about to get something special.

This June, Fringe Fest lands in Braunton and Saunton for a full weekend celebrating the makers, shapers, artists and surfers who keep the UK’s fringe surf scene alive. From handcrafted boards and unique fins to art, music and good old-fashioned surf culture, this is a weekend built for people who live and breathe it.

Whether you’re a longboard lover, a board collector, a weekend slider, or just someone who appreciates great craftsmanship and good people, Fringe Fest is shaping up to be one of the standout weekends of the summer.

Friday 12 June – Meet the Makers

Evening Event (Ticket Only)

The weekend kicks off with Meet the Makers at Braunton Parish Hall.

This is your chance to spend the evening with the shapers, craftsmen and independent creators behind the UK’s fringe surf movement. Hear the stories behind the boards, the passion behind the brands, and meet the people keeping traditional surf culture thriving.

It’s a seated evening event with a bar, good conversation, and plenty of inspiration.

Saturday 13 June – Fringe Surf Market

Daytime Public Event

Saturday daytime brings the Fringe Surf Market to the Museum of British Surfing, taking over the Green Room and outdoor space.

Expect a brilliant mix of independent surf makers showcasing boards, fins, surf art, apparel and plenty more. It’s the perfect chance to discover something different, support small creators, and get your hands on pieces you simply won’t find on the high street.

Whether you’re buying, browsing, or just soaking up the atmosphere, this one is for everyone.

Saturday 13 June – Fringe Party Night

Evening Event (Ticket Only)

As the sun goes down, it’s time for the Fringe Party Night back at Braunton Parish Hall.

With DJs, a fully stocked bar, and all the good vibes you’d expect, this is the proper Fringe Fest celebration. A chance for everyone to let their hair down and keep the weekend rolling long into the night.

Surf culture always comes with a soundtrack, and Saturday night will be no exception.

Sunday 14 June – Sliders Meet

Morning Public Event

To close the weekend, we head to Saunton Sands for the Sliders Meet.

Bring your boards, bring your mates, and join a relaxed fringe surf session to round things off properly. No pressure, no competition — just clean lines, shared waves and a perfect Sunday morning with like-minded people.

Exactly how a surf weekend should finish.

Tickets for the evening events are limited, so if you want to be part of it, don’t leave it too long.
