Volunteer opportunities at the Museum of British Surfing

The Museum of British Surfing needs your help – we’re looking for enthusiastic individuals, preferably with a keen interest in surfing, to join the established volunteer programme at this award-winning and vibrant heritage attraction in North Devon.

We opened to the public again with our new exhibition ‘Sixties SURFER!’ on March 28th, 2013.

Whether you’re a student looking to gain valuable work experience, a professional looking to give something back to the community, or actively looking to get your foot on the museum, charity or surf industry ladder – this opportunity is tailor-made for you.

Newly recruited volunteers will help deliver excellent customer service to thousands of visitors and will also have the opportunity to get involved with marketing & events, learn about the charity sector and play their part in the UK’s growing surf industry.

The Museum of British Surfing opened the doors of its first permanent home in Braunton, North Devon, in April 2012. Prospective volunteers will provide front-of-house services to visitors and ensure first-class visitor satisfaction.

The museum has also staged temporary exhibitions all over the UK since 2004 that have been seen by more than 350,000 people. It became a Registered Charity (1131433) in 2009, establishing itself as the national body responsible for looking after Britain’s rich surfing heritage that dates back more than two centuries.

For the front of house role you need to be able to spare at least three hours a week. You can download a description of the role here:

Candidates should email their CV and covering note to Peter Robinson: contact@museumofbritishsurfing.org.uk or by post to Museum of British Surfing, The Yard, Caen Street, Braunton, North Devon EX33 1AA.

My spouse and i got quite glad that Ervin could deal with his investigations through the ideas he got out of the web page. It’s not at all simplistic to just continually be giving out methods that many other people have been selling. And we also fully understand we have got the website owner to be grateful to for that. The entire explanations you have made, the simple site menu, the friendships you can help foster – it’s got many great, and it’s really helping our son and the family imagine that the issue is entertaining, and that is pretty indispensable. Thank you for everything!

Thanks for the advice on credit repair on this excellent site. Some tips i would tell people should be to give up the particular mentality that they may buy currently and shell out later. Being a society many of us tend to try this for many issues. This includes vacation trips, furniture, along with items we wish. However, you’ll want to separate your current wants out of the needs. If you are working to boost your credit score actually you need some trade-offs. For example you’ll be able to shop online to save cash or you can look at second hand merchants instead of high-priced department stores pertaining to clothing.
